A plea deal for the checks because that's the least of her problems right now. When she's sitting on death row for murdering her innocent, sweet toddler, those checks will mean nothing.

She does not deserve a plea deal, IMO. She should pay for her crimes, all of them.

she'll plea out on the lesser charges in an effort to keep from tipping her hand on her defense for her murder trial... I'm glad they forced her hand, because now she will be introduced as a convicted criminal at the murder trial, which speaks volumes as to her credibility (or lack thereof...)

Tish, KC can't plead out too much less than she is charged with. Everytime she uttered a check, that one act of uttering one check carrys a penalty of 5 years & a felony conviction.

The defense tried to claim DOUBLE Jeopardy, but, KC is the one that utters ALL those checks, & the defense knows clearly that are separate charges. I think 9 of the checks would be considered felonies & the other 3 or 4 were in less amounts & carried lesser punishment.

In the penalty phase of KC's trial, before sentencing, the STATE will introduce the "amount" of felony convictions KC has. If the STATE plead this down to 4 utterances of stolen checks/identity theft, she would still have 4 FELONY convictions. Of course KC is a moron, but if she had been smart when stealing from her best friend, she would have written herself a check for $600.00 & cashed it. That would have been 1 utterance, 1 charge, a 5 yr. conviction, & she ONLY be a FELON one time, plus a murderer.

The STATE owes BOZO nothing, his grand standing, misleading the public, it is absolutely "the decision of the STATE," KC/BOZO hold no cards here. The STATE probably would love to try this ridiculous case as "public embarassment & humilation" for this irresponsible DEFENSE Team.

The convictions are importantant to the STATE to meet the DP standards also, the more Felony Convictions KC has, the more aggrecious. Bill Sheaffer wrote a great article explaining the importance of these convictions, we'll see how much the STATE would allow.

those checks meant nothing to her when she was doing it either
kc thought she was entitled to other peoples money
i'm waiting for them to put the plea in for the murder charge
they have to know they don't have a chance to beat that charge

Jose has nothing to gain except the attention he craves by keeping this and every other story in the media. I'm sure he thinks it will make him quite famous some day.The only thing I can imagine is everyone will know who he is, cause he's a horses-ass. lmao

fran, I agree, after this trial is over, I don't think the fame BOZO thought it would bring will "make him famous." For those of us following this case closely, we continue to see screw up after screw up, even by A. Lyon's.

I bet KC will scream "ineffective counsel" so loudly, I would.

I think the Anthony case lawyers are just stalling for TIME, hopeing she will get TIME off for TIME served so far. They don't know what to do other than stall and hope people will forget or die off before the cases go to court. Again wasting the state and tax payers money keeping her in the COUNTY HILTON.Mom and Dad have had nice vacations, tattoos, earrings and fine dining on the money off all the pics etc. She knows she is guilty, Mom and Dad know shes guilty, her brother knows shes guilty and so do her defence team. Otherwise they would not have brought in a Death Penalty lawyer, and try to have such a Dream Team. Maby she thinks she is related to Oj or something. These are only my own personal opinions. And as far as the meter reader...give us a break. He needs commended for finding the burial site, not taken apart for it and accused of the burial. And that poor gonzalas lady....then anthonys dont seem to want to help her ...knowing well she is inoscent...and Dad chewing that gum in court like a cow chewing its cud looks very disrespectful. A person is not to eat or chew or drink(only water that will be provided if necessary) in a court room. And look how disrespectful Mom is in court....They both know better. They just want to try and show how much power they think they have. Bullies we use to call people like that. Beligerant, disrespectful bullies! They know as well as miss anthony does that she is guilty. But God, is the final judge!! He knows who did it too...And for the girl to party her A-- off while her baby lay dying shows how she was really raised!!! No guilt in this familys lives. They dont know the word or has no conciences. George has a heart and conscience, he knows the truth, but not the rest of the family. Lie after lie after lie. A change of venue wont help unless they find a community of people who speak no english or spanish and are all deaf and have no tv reception or radios....but unless they are blind the could still read papers in their own language or something. And she wasnt insane because she tried to bury the evidence.
awaell i hate to see people go to the death chamber who are inoscent, but not the guilty. Thats where murderers and pedofiles belong!

What an idiot. Look at what she did with one act. How many lives did she ruin. Did she really think nobody would notice the two year old was gone. Please. What a waste of money.

Maybe those close to her who would notice the baby gone, were soon to be gone themselves. After all, KC did have Amy H. change her address to Hope Spring Dr., She did tell everyone she was getting a place of her own and she was out looking at new places, she also stated GA and CA were getting divorced and moving away, depending on who you ask. Things didn't go as planned, IMHO, and that is the only thing that saved the lives of her parents.

Mr. Baez states that there is alot of evidence that will come out in the trial proving kc inocence, what i can't help but wonder is how many of kc's lies is he basing as evidence?
what a good defence lets beleive a compulsive liar and try to defend those lies in court . I would find it rather humorouse if the defence and kc were all charged with pergery on top of all the other charges she already has.

IMO, objectively speaking, charging "anyone" (esp. without any prior record)with 13 felonies for passing bad checking totalling $654.25 is overkill. Not to mention $5,575 spent by the state of Florida to prove it. Judge Strickland deemed the charges was "unreasonable". I agree.
Although I do understand the state's reasoning. IMO, the trumped up check charges were more of an attempt to gather evidence in the murder trial and to keep her in jail. I get it. I'm sure the prosecutors were in their rights to charge KC with those costs as well. Is this prejudicial? Yes, of course, in my opinion.
Thanks to Judge Strickland, he agreed and did a good job of keeping it fair by cutting the criminal counts down the middle and leaving the court and investigational costs, etc. up for argument at a later date. KC was given credit for time served and possibly one year probation which is still not settled. Kudos to him. What I'm wondering now..Who is Jill Curley(sp)?? Any ideas?

I dont think that the felony conviction for writing bad checks will weigh much on the jury. The prosicution should focus on her behavior, shopping while the child is missing. I think that they can use this to establish her lack of maternal love and establlish her as a self gratifing person. We instincualy do what is more important in our minds, for her not knowing where her child was wasn't a priority.
