Morgan Harrington Update - Blinks Running Through the Connections

Things are definately heating up in the Morgan Harrington case.  There's really no doubt in my mind this won't end up being a cold case years from now.  As many cases as we follow, I've come to recognize certain patterns of interest in these cases through searches, web-traffic, and such.  For whatever reason total strangers have latched onto this case with a vengeance through media, bloggers, forums, social networks,etc.. .  I receive emails from strangers all over the states regarding this case asking questions, requesting updates, relaying information....  I just hope it all ends well and Morgan ends up home safe.  Should that not to be the case, one thing is for sure, whoever harmed this young woman will be the poster child of the consequences these creatures face.

Earlier today I was watching the crime portal and saw this post from Blink on crime.  It seems she's been working overtime scouring over friends and comments on Morgan Harringtons Myspace pages.  She's come up with some pretty interesting connections.  Here's a link to her post.

I have great concerns for Morgan, and agree with Morgan’s father, she was taken and is endangered. I hope I am wrong!!! TY for the updates YT!!! As many members know, I have two daughters, ages 20 and 16. I have always agreed with safe in numbers, and to stay in communication by text and cell phone. Yet, Morgan and Elizabeth's cases prove this is not always the case!! It is scary to agree to allow your young daughters to go out, and be young!!

I see Blink is going to the hospital staff of Roanoke for answers. I'm not sure if the HappyHippy is the guy of interest here simply because he's a bit eccentric and still tiedye's tshirts and has now moved to body painting. I guess that's a good hobby for him.
If I were looking for answers maybe look at the roadies for Metallica. What would draw a young girl away from a friends at a rock concert? A backstage pass...maybe. Maybe a few of us here can relate.
But seriously, I wonder if LE has run a background check of the entire staff of Metallica. Pretty girls are always a target and fanatical fans are easily lured because it's so cool. This could be a real staff member or a person posing as one. Getting rid of the cell phone battery and the fact that LE seems to think she didn't leave the general area of the university makes this a possibiliy. Just my thoughts.

UPDATE 11/13/09

BLINK has done a good job on this case. BLINK is reporting Virginia State Police is reporting independent accounts of Morgan HITCHHIKING on the Copley Bridge.

BLINK also reported Morgan was seen talking to some UV Basketball players before she was seen hitchhiking on the bridge.

To read both articles on BLINK:

These are interesting developments in this case. It is puzzling WHY Morgan would Hitchhike as she could have used someone else's cell phone to call for a ride. I wonder if she argued with someone outside the concert, & then she went on her own way.

It sounds as thou there is a timeline.

ever since the reward went up to $150,000(which was pretty early on in this case),i have believed that no one has come forward due to 1 of 2 scenarios:: 1.the perp was so clever,he left no clues, and nobody else was around to see what he did,or 2.her so-called friends are hiding something to protect their own interests/backsides.I would like to propose this hypothetical to the PARENTS of Morgan's roommate and other"friends" who went with her to the concert: if this was YOUR daughter, and Morgan and the others drove your daughter's car back to town, but left YOUR DAUGHTER to fend for herself, would you just allow Morgan and the other people to keep silent, and go merrily on with their lives??would you give them a moment's peace, until they told you the WHOLE story? i think not.i cannot believe the diginity and grace the harringtons have shown throughout this horror.they have even been kind(in print) about the people Morgan went to the concert with..i can tell you this: if it were my daughter who was left behind, but they had still had the nerve to drive her car home, without even being sure what happened to her,i would not allow them to rest.i would camp outside the dorm room or home of each of these so-called "friends"..i would not say a word to them,or interfere with their lives in any way..i would simply be there as a silent witness for Morgan, since she cannot be there for herself.i would be that witness for Morgan, to keep her alive in their everyday thoughts, until the weakest link among them finally started to talk(to the police).I am not saying they did any harm to Morgan at all.But i do believe they are more worried about getting in trouble for something else that happened that night(drugs/underage drinking),than they are about giving the police the FULL story..which, in the end, could actually have helped to find Morgan wayyy before this date.their silence gave the abductor(s)too much time, and too much of a head-start on law enforcement..let them live with that..On the weakest link: there is one.you know there is ALWAYS one in the group that wants to speak up,that wants to do the right thing, but is afraid of the others..police just have to keep working hard enough until that person's conscience will not let them stay silent any longer.remember: the only thing that allows evil to triumph is for "good people" to do NOTHING!!!yes, i want them to feel guilty if something horrible did happen to Morgan..not only did you leave her there, but you TOOK HER CAR HOME,ANYWAY!!how does a person do that and call themselves a friend?how do you not know where your friend is, but use her car to drive home, til you are safely back in your bed and then go to sleep? how do you allow the public to think that your friend Morgan was a hitchhiker, a party girl,a druggie, a psyched-out college student,a promiscuous girl who led a secret life(unbeknownst to her parents),etc etc..all of these "theories"(all of them false!) are being spread about your friend Morgan,on the internet and in other media, due to all the conflicting reports of sightings and witness accounts..yet,not one of you have seen fit to come forward in defense of Morgan's reputation for the past 6 weeks.i am ashamed of you and for you..how does it feel,to look Morgan's parents in the eye(if you can)and not tell them what really happened, and ALL of what happened,on 10/17/09??after 6 weeks, it would not matter what that real story is:..if she wanted to run away, or she had a boyfriend they might not have liked ,or if she was pregnant and afraid to tell them..or if she had done something else and was ashamed to tell them about it..no matter what that real story is,please tell her parents..they would be so overjoyed to know she is alive and safe,it would not matter why she left, what she did, or who she was in love with..they would just want her to be okay,period....at this point, why are you still staying silent?it has been six weeks already!what are you sparing her parents at this late date?they have already been to hell and back, aching for their daughter, fearing the worst..NOTHING you could tell her parents could possibly hurt them more, than your continued silence about 10/17/09.one more sad mom

Blink on Crime is nothing but a "national inquirer" style of journalist. Any useful information she has is essentially provided to her by well intended but gullible readers of her website. As for Morgan Harrington, what happened to her was indeed a tragedy, but I doubt she was the sweet and innocent angel that the media and her fan websites are making her out to be.
